What are lip fillers?
Lip fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally exists in the human body. In our clinic, we use a range of safe, popular brands, including Juvederm and Restylane.
Like all of our treatments, the process begins with a consultation. We will assess your needs individually, to establish which technique and material will work best for you. This also gives you an opportunity to ask the doctor any questions you have. The actual treatment process takes 45 minutes. It is completely painless and performed under local anaesthetic. A doctor uses very fine needles to apply the material. Straight after the treatment, the area will be numb and this will last for a few hours. We advise against eating anything hard afterwards to avoid accidentally biting your lip or cheek during this time. The results are visible immediately. In addition, you will likely experience mild to moderate swelling. Swelling subsides within 3 days.
Do lip fillers hurt?
Treatment is performed under local anaesthetic, so is painless. However, you will likely experience some swelling after treatment for up to 3 days. Some people also experience tiny bruises, that fade away within a few days. These can easily be covered by concealer. We recommend that you return to your day-to-day activities 2 days after treatment.
Are there any side effects?
Any side effects are mild to moderate, and are always temporary (slight swelling and bruising).

When will I see the results?
Results are visible straight after treatment. The treated area needs to be left alone to settle, and to allow the material will integrate with tissue. Final results will be visible in about 2 weeks.
How long do lip fillers last?
Lip fillers last for about 6-8 months depending on the treated area, the product used and individual features.
How much do lip fillers cost?
The treatment is normally charged per syringe, and the cost variies based on the product used. Lip filler prices start at £250.
